Grit and Ochre
Rough pumice scrapes against hardened resin, meeting a stubborn grit beneath the crimson pigment. Each stroke unearths a violent streak of ochre that refuses to blend with the monochromatic dust above it. This friction reveals how much weight the layers have truly carried, as if the color itself is pushing back through the sediment. Beneath the surface, something buried breathes against its own containment, finally finding stillness in its refusal to be erased.
