Broken Spirals
Rough grit yields beneath pressing fingertips to reveal a fossilized ammonite, its spiral interrupted by jagged fractures. These asymmetrical rings suggest an intention cut short, leaving hollow voids where perfect geometry once reigned. Even as these gaps disrupt the pattern, they provide the very scaffolding through which the shape is understood. A heavy granite monolith might stand whole and silent, yet this brokenness offers a more complex architecture of what it means to endure.
